The Levenshulme & Longsight branch has been active since December 2021.

Since then, we have supported a number of members with member solidarity cases, in one case campaigning to secure a rent decrease of over £500 a year for one private tenant.

We have run Know Your Rights sessions at the Northmoor Community Centre and Levenshulme Old Library, covering evictions, rent rises and disrepair.

We have also run a stall at Levenshulme Pride and held member socials including a quiz at the Inspire Community Centre.

We are currently working on a campaign about securing more social housing in the area.

The branch meets fortnightly at the Jain Community Centre, 667 Stockport Road, M12 4QE, usually on a Wednesday evening.

You can get in touch with the branch and find out when we are next meeting by emailing levenshulme-longsight@tenantsunion.org.uk. If you are a tenant based in Levenshulme or Longsight, please join us! We are especially keen to welcome in more members who speak languages commonly spoken in our communities, including Urdu, Arabic, Panjabi, Bengali, Pashto and Polish.
