A branch dedicated to protecting the rights of student renters and tenants, Manchester Students Renters Union (MSRU) works to make sure student landlords don't take advantage of vulnerable student renters.

MSRU run workshops to reach out to student renters on renting rights, taking part in collective actions against student landlords and estate agents to protest poor conditions students live in, fundraising events for organisations such as the UCU, door knocking and supporting any student who is having a hard time with their landlord or poor housing conditions.

The branch holds monthly meetings at the University of Manchester Student Union, Oxford Rd, Manchester M13 9PR, which welcomes all existing and new members. If you are a student living in Manchester and feel you're being taken advantage of by student landlords or private accommodation companies, or would just like to know more about housing rights in general, join MSRU!
