Are you a renter in Greater Manchester? Your experiences, opinions, and insights matter more than you might think! The Greater Manchester Tenants Union, in collaboration with the University of Leeds, invites you to participate in a pivotal survey about your housing conditions. This survey isn't just about sharing your experiences; it's your chance to influence the future of renting, advocate for better housing conditions, and impact housing policies.

This survey aims to collect valuable insights from tenants across Greater Manchester on various aspects of renting, including affordability, repairs, landlord performance, previous home moves, and future expectations. It's part of a research project conducted by the University of Leeds as a component of an international study spanning several cities in Europe and Latin America, known as "Contested Territories." This simultaneous survey in multiple cities provides local insights while enabling a comparative study between cities.

Why Should You Participate?

Empower with Data: the current data on rental conditions in Greater Manchester is incomplete. By sharing your experiences, you can help create a detailed and comprehensive picture of life in rental accommodation.

Influence Policy: your experiences will contribute to a unified voice that advocates for improved housing conditions. Your responses will be shared with local and central government policymakers to drive meaningful change.

Privacy is Our Priority: your privacy is our top concern. All responses will be anonymized, and the survey's data management will adhere to GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
