Our Structure

The Greater Manchester Tenants Union is structured as a network of branches at neighbourhood level, plus a central leadership comprised of the Central Committee, the Care Conduct and Culture Committee (CCC) and the Staff.

All officer roles at Committee, CCC and Branch level are elected, and are accountable to the members of the union.

The Committee is elected each year at our AGM, and is the executive leadership body of the union. It is ultimately responsible for the governance of the Union, and sets its political and strategic orientation month by month.

The Care, Conduct and Culture Committee is responsible for the handling of complaints, as well as incidents of sexual violence and harassment in accordance with our rules and policies which can be found here.

In addition to the AGM, we hold an all member meeting every quarter.

The Union employs a small team of staff to carry out day to day organising and support our operation. They are accountable to the Central Committee.
